“The software company where I’d worked for 6 years was sold in 1999. My division was laid-off and I suddenly found myself with the time to pursue other interests. In the beginning, I worked half the year as a software production consultant in Laura’s photography has been published in National Wildlife, National Geographic, Nature’s Best, Nature Conservancy, The Smithsonian Magazine, Ranger Rick, and Birder’s World magazines -- among others.
